Ingredients (Makes ~8 tacos):

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2–3 tbsp The Hit Hot Sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup beef broth (or water)
  • 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)

Garnishes (optional, mix & match):

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar or cotija)
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Sour cream or Mexican crema
  • Lime wedges

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Build the Flavor: Stir in onion and garlic, cooking until softened (about 3 minutes). Add tomato paste, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook 1 minute to toast the spices.
  3. Bring the Heat: Pour in beef broth and The Hit hot sauce. Stir well and simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened and flavorful. Taste and adjust heat with more The Hit if you want it bolder.
  4. Assemble the Tacos: Warm tortillas, spoon in beef mixture, and load up with your favorite garnishes.
